Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Medical Oncologist at Galaxy Cancer Clinics and Daycare Center. The Medical Oncologist will assess and manage patients with suspected or confirmed cancer, including taking histories, performing virtual examinations where appropriate, and reviewing diagnostic reports. Daily responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, prescribing and monitoring chemotherapy and systemic therapies, and coordinating with radiation oncology and surgical teams as needed. The role involves providing ongoing treatment supervision, toxicity monitoring, and supportive care, as well as participating in multidisciplinary case discussions and tumor boards. The Medical Oncologist will document care thoroughly, use telemedicine platforms to deliver consultations, educate patients and families on diagnosis and treatment options, and contribute to clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Medicine, with training in internal medicine or an equivalent relevant specialty.
  • Specialized expertise in Oncology and Cancer management, including solid and hematologic malignancies.
  • Familiarity with Radiation Therapy principles and ability to collaborate effectively with radiation oncology teams.
  • Proficiency in Chemotherapy and systemic anticancer therapies, including treatment planning, dosing, and toxicity management.
  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and completed residency with fellowship in Medical Oncology or equivalent recognized training.
  • Valid medical license and board certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology as required by relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Experience with telemedicine platforms, electronic health records, and remote care workflows.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
