Medical Coder

This is a full-time remote position for a Medical Coder. The Medical Coder will be responsible for accurately reviewing, coding, and processing medical records and clinical data in compliance with established guidelines. Key responsibilities include interpreting medical terminology, applying coding standards, maintaining health information systems, and ensuring data accuracy. The Medical Coder will collaborate with clinical teams and other stakeholders to support billing processes and facilitate efficient health information management practices.

• Proficiency in medical coding and a strong understanding of coding standards and practices
• Experience with Health Information Management and RHIT certification
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and its application in coding
• Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and health record processing
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting
• Familiarity with industry-relevant coding software and tools
• Previous experience working in healthcare or a related field is a plus
• Certification or degree in a related field is highly desirable
