Sandfits has 3 foundries with a capacity of 60000 tons PA. Sandfits has a dedicated machine shop to deliver precision iron components to customers worldwide. The Job

Lead the strategic and technical development of machining operations for new and existing components. Drive cost, quality, and delivery excellence through process innovation, automation, and vendor development.

Key Responsibilities:

Machining Process Development

• Lead the development of machining processes for castings, forgings, and fabricated parts.
• Define cycle times, machining sequences, and tool paths.
• Validate CNC programs and ensure manufacturability with correct GD&T application.

New Product Development (NPD)

• Collaborate with design and production for smooth launches.
• Participate in DFM reviews and develop control plans and process sheets.

Supplier/Vendor Development

• Identify and audit machining vendors for capacity and capability.
• Conduct PPAP and ensure supplier adherence to quality and delivery metrics.

Cost Optimization

• Identify opportunities for cost and cycle time reduction.
• Support make vs buy decisions and ROI evaluations.

Tooling & Fixture Design

• Review and guide fixture and tooling design to reduce setup and enhance flexibility.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure process capability, Cp/Cpk and address machining issues with RCA.
• Implement corrective actions and SPC methods.

Technology & Innovation

• Introduce automation and evaluate modern machining technologies.
• Implement tool monitoring, robotic loading or zero-point systems.

Ideal candidate should B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering with 15+ years in machining with 3–5 years in a leadership role
