Job Description

A leading provider in the tertiary-care and multispecialty hospital sector delivering inpatient, outpatient and critical-care services across India. We provide evidence-based medicine, acute care pathways and multidisciplinary clinical services for diverse adult medical conditions. Primary title: Consultant Physician (Internal Medicine). Location: India — On-site.

Role & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for adult medical patients—perform history, examination, differential diagnosis and evidence-based management plans.
Lead ward rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care with nursing, ICU, radiology and specialty teams to ensure seamless transitions and best patient outcomes.
Stabilize and manage medical emergencies in ED/ward settings including acute respiratory failure, sepsis, cardiac events and metabolic crises.
Perform and supervise bedside procedures where trained (e.g., pleural aspiration, arterial blood gas sampling, central venous access) following institutional protocols.
Interpret diagnostic data (ECG, ABG, radiology reports, labs) and adjust treatment plans; initiate escalation to critical care when indicated.
Maintain high-quality clinical documentation in EMR, participate in morbidity & mortality reviews, and contribute to quality-improvement initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

MD (Internal Medicine) or DNB (Internal Medicine)
Valid medical registration to practice in India
Proven competence in managing acute and chronic medical inpatients
ACLS and BLS certification
Practical experience with ventilator management and arterial blood gas interpretation
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and clinical documentation

Preferred

Experience in ICU/critical-care rotations
Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) competency or certification
Prior experience in teaching, supervision or clinical mentorship roles
