Job Description

Position: Computational Mathematics Research Specialist

Type: Short-Term Contract (8 Weeks)

Compensation: $80 per approved task

Location: Remote

Commitment: 8 Hours per Day with 4 Hours Overlap with PST

Start Date: Immediate

Role Responsibilities

Develop and author research-grade computational mathematics problems using scientific coding and Python
Create graduate-level quantitative reasoning and computational problem-solving tasks
Define problem categories, difficulty levels, and relevant classifications
Develop accurate and logically rigorous solutions using mathematical and computational methods
Review and validate the accuracy and quality of mathematical problems and solutions
Collaborate with reviewers and project teams to refine content and maintain quality standards
Ensure all solutions are scientifically accurate, reproducible, and well documented

Requirements

PhD or PhD Candidate in Computational Mathematics, Numerical Linear Algebra, Computational Mechanics, or related fields
At least one published peer-reviewed research paper
Strong analytical thinking and mathematical problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
LinkedIn profile is mandatory
Advanced proficiency in Python for scientific computing preferred
Experience with numerical methods, mathematical modeling, simulation, or computational research preferred
Prior experience in academic research, scientific publishing, or advanced mathematical problem design preferred
