About the Business
Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.
Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities
Material Planning & Supply Assurance
- Ensure material availability aligned with production and customer demand.
- Convert forecasts and production plans into material requirements and replenishment plans.
- Proactively manage shortages and supply constraints.
- Maintain planning parameters, master data, and ERP integrity.
Inventory Optimization
- Optimize inventory levels while balancing service, cost, and working capital.
- Reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
- Drive inventory accuracy and stock policy improvements.
Supply Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate supply risks through alternate sourcing, safety stocks, localization, and business continuity planning.
- Lead shortage recovery and contingency planning.
- Monitor supplier performance and capacity risks.
Digitalization & Process Excellence
- Drive automation, standardization, centralization, and transparency initiatives.
- Implement digital solutions using SAP, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and analytics tools.
- Develop real-time dashboards, predictive planning models, and AI-enabled insights.
- Improve planning processes through automation and system enhancements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Finance.
- Support NPI, engineering changes, localization, and S&OP processes.
- Ensure effective supplier and stakeholder communication.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Material Planners and Inventory Specialists.
- Drive performance management, capability building, succession planning, and continuous improvement culture.
- Act as escalation point for critical supply issues.
Strategic Supply Chain Governance
- Own material planning governance and KPI management.
- Support budgeting, capacity planning, inventory strategy, and working capital optimization.
Lead executive reviews on inventory, material readiness, and supply risks
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- APICS CPIM/CSCP or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- 12–15 years in Material Planning, Supply Chain, or Inventory Management within manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial leadership role.
- Experience in automotive, industrial, precision engineering, or similar sectors preferred.
- Strong expertise in SAP/ERP, Blue Yonder or any planning tools for inventory optimization, planning analytics, automation, and cross-functional leadership.
