Katha is an AI-powered influencer marketing platform built for hyper-local reach across India. We help brands like Tata Croma, ITC, Max, and Malabar Group run high-impact creator campaigns through our platform IGNITE, connecting brands with the right creators across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana.
We are a fast-moving, early-stage team where ownership is real, expectations are high, and outcomes matter. This is not a support role you will directly contribute to revenue, positioning, and how Katha shows up in the market.
We’re looking for a sharp, execution-focused Research and content associate (2–3 years experience) to work closely with the Marketing Lead across market intelligence, campaign planning, and sales content.
This is a high-ownership role where your work will directly influence sales conversations, pitch outcomes, and campaign strategy.
- Build and continuously refine high-quality brand prospect lists aligned to key festivals and commercial moments.
- Track competitor platforms and adjacent martech tools features, pricing, positioning, and client wins and flag actionable insights.
- Create category research briefs that inform pitch strategy (brand landscape, influencer activity, benchmarks, and whitespace opportunities).
- Identify and map decision-makers (Marketing Heads, Brand Managers) across target companies to strengthen outbound efforts.
- Own and maintain a rolling campaign calendar covering festivals, commercial moments, and industry events.
- Proactively flag opportunities at least 3–4 weeks in advance to enable timely planning and outreach.
- Work closely with the Marketing Lead to align content, campaigns, and outbound activity with key calendar moments.
- Support account teams with client-specific occasion calendars to improve personalization and engagement.
- Build strong, insight-driven case studies by collaborating with the Account Management team and translating data into compelling narratives.
- Continuously update and improve the sales deck with new formats, campaign results, and sharper storytelling.
- Contribute to the monthly newsletter (industry insights, campaign highlights, platform updates).
- Support blog and SEO content from research to drafting ensuring clarity, structure, and conversion-focused CTAs.
- Help build and scale Katha’s Influencer Marketing Intelligence Library as a go-to resource for brands.
- 2–3 years of experience in marketing, content, sales, or a related function.
- Strong writing skills clear, concise, and tailored for a business audience.
- Proven ability to research, synthesize, and present insights in a structured way.
- High ownership mindset you manage timelines, flag risks early, and deliver without follow-ups.
- Comfortable working with tools like LinkedIn, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Canva (experience with Zoho, Notion, or CRMs is a plus).
- Strong interest in marketing, brand strategy, or the creator economy.
- End-to-end exposure across marketing, sales, and strategy not limited to one function.
- Direct access to the Marketing Lead with continuous feedback and development.
- Ownership of real work that impacts revenue and growth, not vanity projects.
- A front-row seat to how an AI-powered startup builds and scales in the influencer marketing space.
- A strong portfolio of case studies, research, and strategic content you’ve directly contributed to.
- You prefer highly structured roles with step-by-step instructions rather than figuring things out independently.
- You are not comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- You expect work to be reviewed multiple times before taking ownership here, you are expected to get it right and iterate fast.
- You are not interested in research-heavy, detail-oriented work.
- You are looking for a purely creative/content-only role without exposure to sales, strategy, or business impact.
- You struggle with deadlines, follow-ups, or proactive communication.
