Manufacturing - Facility Manager

Sola Wood Flowers is bringing on a Facility Manager to lead our manufacturing site in Kolkata as we keep scaling.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee every aspect of how our facility runs day to day. From production output to team performance to the small operational details that keep a plant humming, the buck stops with you. You'll be leading a team of 40+ people and partnering closely with our broader leadership group to drive results.

That combination has put us in over 6% of American weddings every year, and our Kolkata facility plays a central role in making that possible. We need someone who can run it like an owner.

What You'll Own

• Full responsibility for daily operations across our light manufacturing setup.
• Hitting or exceeding the KPIs we set together with the leadership team.
• Adjacent functions that come with running a facility, including HR, administrative work, and other operational needs.
• Using data and lean methodology to surface and execute on improvement opportunities.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Track record managing teams of roughly 30 to 50 people.
• Solid command of lean manufacturing principles.
• Comfortable working in ERP systems and other operational software.
• Willing and able to be on-site daily at our Kolkata facility.
• Fluent in English and Bengali, both written and spoken.
• Eager to roll up your sleeves and dive into any corner of the business when needed.
• Open to providing references when we ask. Our interview process is detailed because we don't want to put you, or us, through a mishire.
• Strong alignment with the values laid out above.
  
  

Examples Of What Your Work Will Actually Look Like

• Driving the day-to-day rhythm of the plant once we're at full pace, and making sure we hit or beat production targets.
• Leading kaizen events to keep sharpening our processes and output.
• Building and launching a structured training program for the India team.
  
  

How Our Hiring Works And How We Run Things

• Once hired, we'll align with you on the precise KPIs you'll own and the targets you're aiming at. No ambiguity about whether you're delivering.
• The process: a short intro conversation, then a longer working-style technical interview with the relevant team. From first interview to offer, we typically wrap things up in about 8 to 10 days. We move quickly and keep candidates updated.
• Internally, we run on EOS/Traction. If you've worked with Scaling Up or OKRs, you'll adapt to Traction fast. If it's new to you, we'd suggest a quick research dive before interviewing.
• For this specific role, we'll walk you through the long-term vision for the business, the bigger opportunities we're chasing, and exactly how this seat fits into all of it.
