Manufacturing Engineer will play a transformative role in shaping the future of our shopfloor operations. Their contributions will be instrumental in elevating our manufacturing capabilities to meet evolving industry demands.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Use of lean manufacturing concepts to continuously optimize manufacturing processes for improved production flow, reduce costs, improve quality, and expanded capacity.
- Extensive work with the design engineering to apply DFA/DFM concepts for reduced cost and highest quality and participate in the DFMEA process
- Very good knowledge & experience in Capacity analysis as per the forecast to match the Takt Time, Elementary time estimation, Differentiation tree and process flow simulation tools.
- Deliver required manufacturing process flow charts, PFMEAs, control plans and detailed work instructions for new products/processes
- Analyses and plans work force utilization, space requirements and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Develops, evaluates, and improves productivity using Lean tools such as: line balancing, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping
- Provide CAPEX estimates and justifications for manual vs. automatic equipment selections and timing
- Very Strong proficiency in 2D Auto CADD which helps us to create production line layout, Production jigs and fixtures design etc.,
- Design fixtures and tooling for manufacturing processes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering.
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Six sigma lean manufacturing training and experience.
- Experience with the PPAP process for launches with new products and customers.
- Manufacturing feasibility study of the new product with the detailed analysis of DFA (Design for assembly) methodology collaborating with product design team.
- Regular monitoring and reporting of performance of equipment
