About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Chemist to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring product quality, maintaining process efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing activities.

Candidates must have prior experience in the Cosmetics, Personal Care, Skin Care, Hair Care, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and supervise manufacturing batches as per approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety guidelines.
• Handle manufacturing processes including raw material dispensing, mixing, homogenization, heating, cooling, and batch completion.
• Monitor critical process parameters to ensure consistent product quality and batch reproducibility.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and product losses.
• Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, Planning, and Maintenance teams for smooth production execution.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, equipment logbooks, and batch records.
• Monitor production yield, material utilization, and process efficiency while identifying improvement opportunities.
• Ensure equipment cleanliness, line clearance, and timely preventive maintenance.
• Train and supervise production operators on manufacturing procedures, GMP, and safety practices.
• Support process validation, scale-up, technology transfer, and new product commercialization.
• Participate in internal audits and ensure regulatory compliance during inspections.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4-6 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in Cosmetics, Personal Care, Skin Care, Hair Care, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of GMP, SOPs, batch manufacturing processes, and production documentation.
• Hands-on experience operating manufacturing equipment such as reactors, mixers, homogenizers, emulsifiers, and storage vessels.
• Knowledge of production planning, process optimization, troubleshooting, and yield improvement.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in manufacturing creams, lotions, serums, shampoos, conditioners, face washes, or similar personal care products.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production reporting.
• Knowledge of process validation and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to lead production shifts and manage manufacturing teams effectively.
