You Are
UST is seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester with strong Pharmacy/Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) domain experience to support quality assurance activities for healthcare applications.
The Opportunity
What You Need
Role Location: California
Compensation Range: $68,000-$102,000
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.
Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.

You Are
UST is seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester with strong Pharmacy/Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) domain experience to support quality assurance activities for healthcare applications.
The Opportunity
- Analyze business and functional requirements related to Pharmacy and PBM applications.
- Design, develop, and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and drive discussions to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate functionality.
What You Need
- 5-10 Years of experience
- Pharmacy/PBM Domain Expertise
- Strong experience in the Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) domain.
- Good understanding of Pharmacy business processes, including:
- Claims Processing
- Benefits and Eligibility Verification
- Formulary Management
- Prior Authorization
- Drug Utilization Review (DUR)
- Mail Order and Specialty Pharmacy
- Pharmacy Claims Adjudication
- Testing Skills
- Strong experience in Manual Testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in Test Planning, Test Case Creation, Test Execution, and Test Reporting.
- Expertise in Defect Lifecycle Management and Root Cause Analysis.
- Ability to identify, track, prioritize, and manage defects effectively.
- Tools & Technology
- Hands-on experience with:
- JIRA
- Confluence
- Experience in creating and managing user stories, defects, and test documentation within JIRA and Confluence.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation is preferred.
- Required Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience participating in driving defect triage discussions.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Healthcare or Health Insurance clients.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
- Exposure to API testing and backend validations.
- ISTQB Certification or relevant QA certifications preferred.
