Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to drive business growth and expand our solar solutions across the assigned territory. The role involves developing dealer networks, managing channel partners, generating project sales, and building relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and institutional clients.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in channel sales, B2B sales, or project sales, along with an existing network in industries connected to infrastructure, electrical, construction, or distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage dealer and distributor networks in high-density market areas.
Identify and build relationships with contractors, architects, builders, and project consultants to generate solar project opportunities.
Drive sales targets and revenue growth in the assigned territory.
Onboard and manage channel partners, vendors, and referral partners.
Guide customers through the solar project lifecycle, from initial consultation to installation coordination.
Work closely with the internal team for project execution, documentation, and compliance.
Stay updated with solar policies, subsidies, regulations, and market trends.
Monitor sales performance and prepare MIS reports and market analysis.
Develop and implement territory growth strategies and marketing initiatives.
Build strong long-term relationships with stakeholders to expand the company’s market presence.
Preferred Industry Background
Candidates with experience in the following sectors will be highly preferred:
Water Pump & Hardware Companies – Strong dealer and distributor networks in high-density areas.
Elevator Project Sales (Kone / Otis) – Experience working with builders and architects.
Electrical Industry (Havells / Polycab / Finolex) – Strong connect with contractors and architects.
Pharma Industry (Medical Representatives) – Strong relationship-building skills.
Paint Industry (Asian Paints / Birla / Akzo Nobel) – Experience in dealer and contractor networks.
Private Banks / NBFC / Insurance – Knowledge of documentation, KYC processes, and subsidy handling.
Vendor Onboarding Companies (OYO / IndiaMART / Zomato / Swiggy / PhonePe) – Experience onboarding vendors, merchants, and channel partners.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in solar, electrical, construction, or channel sales.
Strong dealer, contractor, and builder network in the assigned territory.
Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
Ability to drive B2B sales and channel partnerships.
Proficiency in CRM tools such as Zoho or similar platforms.
Willingness to travel within the territory.
