About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Manager with a strong background in credit underwriting and risk assessment. This is a functional, commercial role for a subject matter expert who understands the lending lifecycle and can translate complex client problems into tailored solutions using our products. You will work closely with the sales, product, and technology teams, engaging directly with lenders to design, demonstrate, and advocate for our solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and craft compelling, customized solutions around credit underwriting and risk assessment.
  • Lead product demonstrations and presentations to decision makers at lending institutions (Banks/NBFC/Govt Inst/ Professional service providers such as financial advisors/CA firms/Law firms etc.), showcasing deep domain knowledge and the strategic value of our offerings.
  • Gather and analyze client pain points, functional workflows, and market trends to contribute to product enhancements and new features.
  • Design end-to-end functional solutions—mapping client needs to product capabilities, integration points, and data flows.
  • Address technical and functional queries from clients, ensuring confidence in our solutions and overcoming objections during the sales cycle.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation, proposals, and solution architectures aligned with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for credit risk, underwriting scorecards, data sources (traditional and alternate), risk policies, and automation best practices.
  • Support pilot implementations and proof-of-concept projects, bridging communication between commercial, product, and delivery teams.
  • Continuously update knowledge on lending regulations, risk trends, and competitive landscape to position the company as a thought leader in the market.


What we look for:

  • CA/CFA or MBA (Finance) or professional certification in Credit underwriting or financial risk management.
  • 6+ years of experience in credit underwriting, risk assessment, or lending technology, with at least 2 years in a pre-sale, solution consultant, or business advisory capacity.
  • Deep understanding of credit risk policy, digital lending processes, scorecards, data sources (bureau, alternate), and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience designing solutions for banks, NBFCs, or fintech focused on credit risk workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong commercial acumen, client engagement, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with product managers and engineering teams to influence product development is desirable
  • Strong project management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Data analysis, data visualization/Presentation skills.
