Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and diligent Manager, Finance to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 14+ years of experience across tax, audit, accounts management, corporate accounting, and month-end closing activities. The role requires an expert in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and managing a range of financial functions with a strong grasp of Indian taxation laws and fair understanding of US – GAAP with financial best practices. This role will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, manage a team, and provide strategic insights to senior management.

  • Taxation:
  • Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax, Quarterly tax calculation, Transfer pricing quarterly working & annual true up, US-GAAP to Local GAAP reconciliation
  • Supervise monthly and quarterly tax filing, ensuring timely and accurate submission of returns with our Tax & Accounting partner team KDP.
  • Coordinate tax audits and assessments, liaising with tax authorities and external auditors.
  • Prepare tax provisions and assist in tax planning and forecasting.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in tax regulations, advising the company on compliance requirements.
  • Lead internal and statutory audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for audit planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Review and resolve audit queries, providing required information to auditors in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
  • Supervise the preparation and finalization of financial statements in accordance with Indian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and work with the management team to address variances.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory standards.
  • Handle and oversee general ledger management, ensuring accurate journal entries.
  • Lead month-end closing activities, ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure correctness.
  • Prepare month-end reports for management and ensure all reports are delivered on time.
  • Analyze month-end financial results and provide variance analysis to management.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, Tax & accounting consultants, ensuring timely & accurate submissions.
  • Provide guidance on complex accounting and finance issues.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Manage workload distribution and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST Act, US GAAP, Local GAAP , Transfer pricing and other relevant legislation.
  • Prepare and file statutory returns, such as income tax returns, GST returns, and others.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as legal and HR, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications and Skills:2. Experience:3. Skills & Competencies:

  • Education:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification (ACCA, CPA, or M.Com/MBA preferred).
  • Post-graduate degree in Finance/Accounting would be a plus.
  • Minimum 14 years of experience in finance and accounts, with a strong background in tax, audit, and month-end closing.
  • Previous experience in managing teams and working in a senior finance role.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
  • Expertise in Indian tax laws (GST, Income Tax, TDS, etc.), accounting standards (Ind AS, IGAAP), and statutory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data in an understandable manner to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
