Position: Manager - Employee Relations Manager
Location: Bangalore /Pune/Gurgaon
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Senior Director- HR Head (India)
About the Role
The Employee Relations (ER) Manager would be responsible for fostering a positive and compliant work environment by managing employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and compliance with India labor laws. This role acts as a key advisor to business leaders and HRBPs on matters related to employee conflicts, grievances, code of conduct and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Conflict Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Conduct fair and timely investigations into complaints (harassment, misconduct, policy violation, etc.).
- Advise and train HRBPs on complex issues related to company policies, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Facilitate resolution of workplace conflicts to ensure a healthy, productive environment.
- Conduct employee trainings related to code of conduct and workplace safety
Compliance & Legal
- Ensure adherence to all applicable Indian labor laws (Shops & Establishments Act, ID Act, POSH Act, etc.).
- Partner with legal team to mitigate risk and maintain statutory compliance.
- Maintain documentation and reports related to disciplinary actions and investigations.
- Support internal audits and labor inspections.
- Support sustainability, ESG and related certification readiness
Policy Development & Implementation
- Develop, review, and update HR policies in alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
- Conduct employee awareness and training programs on HR policies and workplace ethics.
Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain accurate ER data and metrics
- Prepare periodic reports for leadership on compliance status, and employee conflicts, grievance completion.
Qualifications & Skills
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and employment regulations.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with integrity.
- Ability and intent to work in a fact paced environment
Experience:
- 10-14 years of solid HR experience including at least 3+ years of experience in ER role with independent charge of a large business unit
- At least 5+ years in IT services or consulting services companies
- Masters/MBA in Human Resources
