Manager- BOM (Materials)

Role Purpose-

Responsible for overseeing planning and coordination of company's inventory and purchasing department while ensuring availability of right material of right quality at right time at right price at all Arch plants. Facilitate constant manpower development and conduct periodic audits to ensure vendor performances and quality compliances.

Roles & Responsibilities-

1. Review, control & monitor raw material & BOM items planning to ensure timely supply to all Auto plants,
2. Prepare annual budget for all materials (BOM and Non-BOM items) used in Auto plants
3. Source all materials (BOM and Non-BOM items) of right quality at right time and at competitive price,
4. Develop supplier base for smooth procurement of all materials at all locations
5. Monitor and review CHA performance on customs clearance related activities in order to minimize clearance charges for import consignments in Auto plants,
6. Review, monitor and control min/max inventory levels of BOM and Non-BOM Items for all Auto plants in order to optimize inventory and ensure demand fulfillment,
7. Arrange disposal of scrap and obsolete items at competitive rates at Auto plants,
8. Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality and delivery,
9. Monitor transit & warehouse breakages of raw glasses,
10. Raise raw glass defect claims and monitor acceptance of same in all Auto plants to reduce manufacturing errors,
11. Conduct periodic audits in order to ensure compliances with various Quality Management Systems like ISO, EMS and OHSAS, Internal Process Audits etc.,
12. Identify and appoint right freight forwarders & transporters with competitive quality and rates to minimize the cost & maximize the efficiency,
13. Generate weekly MCM & monthly MIS reports related to Material Planning & Control,
14. Undertake development initiatives for self and team members to ensure continuous learning and growth opportunities
15. Provide effective feedback to team members while conducting periodic formal and informal meetings.

Role Requirement-

-13-18 years of total experience,

-Academic background- B.Tech./B.E. (Mechanical)- must have

-Functional Know-how- Materials techno-commercial know how, product costing, legal compliances, logistics, supply chain, ERP, E-procurement, manufacturing process knowledge, import rules & regulations, analytical approach, strong negotiation skills, communication skill, time management
