• Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Manager – O&M to lead the operations and maintenance of ground-mounted solar power plants. The role is responsible for maximizing plant performance, ensuring high availability, managing large teams, maintaining client relationships, and driving operational excellence across multiple sites.

• Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations & Performance

- Oversee MW-scale solar plant portfolio across multiple locations

- Monitor key KPIs: Generation, PR (Performance Ratio), CUF, Availability

- Drive performance improvement initiatives and loss reduction strategies

- Ensure maximum uptime and SLA compliance

2. Maintenance Strategy & Execution

- Design and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies

- Optimize module cleaning cycles based on site conditions

- Ensure quick resolution of breakdowns and root cause analysis (RCA)

- Standardize O&M processes and SOPs across all plants

3. Team Leadership & Management

- Lead teams of engineers, supervisors, and technicians across sites

- Plan manpower allocation and resource optimization

- Conduct performance reviews, training, and skill development programs

- Build a strong safety-first and performance-driven culture

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders

- Ensure compliance with O&M contracts and AMCs

- Conduct periodic review meetings and present performance reports

- Maintain high client satisfaction and retention

5. Financial Management & Cost Optimization

- Manage O&M budgets and control operational expenses

- Optimize spare parts inventory and procurement planning

- Improve cost efficiency without compromising plant performance

- Analyze cost vs. generation and ROI metrics

6. Compliance, Safety & Quality

- Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety standards and protocols

- Implement HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) practices

- Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance

- Conduct site audits, safety drills, and risk assessments

7. Reporting & MIS

- Review daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports

- Analyze trends and recommend performance improvements

- Maintain centralized MIS dashboards for all sites

- Present operational insights to senior management

• Qualifications & Skills

• Education

- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering

- MBA (Operations/Project Management) – Preferred

• Experience

- 8–12+ years in solar O&M / power plant operations

- Experience managing multi-MW ground mount solar plants

• Skills Required

- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and electrical infrastructure

- Leadership and multi-site team management

- Expertise in SCADA systems and data analysis

- Strong client management and communication skills

- Budgeting, cost control, and vendor management
