Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a market-leading business in South Manchester. The role involves managing end-to-end financial processes and providing accurate reporting to support business decisions.

Description

Maintaining financial records, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded in the Sage accounting system.
Preparing monthly management accounts, providing analysis.
Owning the reconciliation and consolidation of all balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies.
Supporting the Finance Director with the annual budgeting process and ongoing reforecasting cycles.
Assisting the Finance Director with reporting requirements to the Group finance function.
Supporting the income reconciliation process.
Take responsibility for risk management and compliance activities, including preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC.
Ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies.
Support the annual audit process.
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls.
Contribute to ad-hoc projects as required.
Mentoring and managing 1 junior member of staff.

Profile

A recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
Experience in management accounts, financial reporting and reconciliations.
Proficiency in Excel. A further knowledge of SAGE is desirable.
Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and providing analysis.
