Job Description

Arrow Electronics is seeking a collaborative and engaged Logistics Services Associate Manager to join our newly constructed Warehouse Logistics center in Hungary. This role will participate, coordinate and collaborate with MSFT and the Arrow MSFT team. As a Logistics Services Associate Manager, you will be required to excel in the areas of safety, quality, attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

What You’ll Be Doing

• Responsible for day-to-day functions of production department, ensuring goals are met or exceeded
• Supervise day-to-day operation of a department within the distribution center consisting of non-exempt tactical personnel
• Directly supervise a team of 25 people on average
• With specific directions from management and HR, participate in staffing, terminations, disciplinary counseling, performance management and development, in conjunction with facility management
• Report and track department metrics, responding to internal customer inquiries. May need to elevate or work in conjunction with facility management to resolve complex issues
• Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion
• Receive guidance and oversight from manager
• Typically, do not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised
• Accountable for the results of small-sized routine support or production operations teams
• Solve problems based on set policies and procedures
• Train team members and provide input to employee performance evaluations
• Participate, coordinate, and collaborate with MSFT and the Arrow MSFT Account team
• Work with Arrow IT addressing WMS system limitations and concerns, acting as a program manager as business program grows
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of supervisory and logistics experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain or Technical degree preferred)
• Demonstrated experience supervising large teams in a warehouse environment
• Strong people management, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage people and processes effectively
• Tolerance for the physical demands of a warehouse environment (standing, lifting, bending, kneeling for extended periods in a climate-controlled setting)
• Proficient knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Oracle-based ERP experience; Unity experience a plus
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English and Hungarian
• Ability to collaborate with all levels of staff and management and mentor direct reports
• Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean concepts, including 5S
• Ability to interpret and use statistics in day-to-day decision making
• Experience evaluating processes to optimize product handling, product flow, and layouts
• Project-oriented with the ability to follow through on long-term goals
• Ability to multitask effectively
