Linux System Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Systems Engineer with a deep passion for Linux environments and a tinker mindset. In this role, you won’t just be running scripts; you will be responsible for maintaining the health of our infrastructure. You will use your knowledge of Linux internals and networking to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot the services that keep our systems running.

• System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Debian across different environments
• Service Management: Deploy and manage essential services including Nginx, MySQL, and Redis
• Troubleshooting and Analysis: Monitor system performance and identify issues such as filesystem errors, memory leaks, and CPU spikes
• Network Operations: Apply knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and SSH to ensure connectivity and system security
• Automation and Tooling: Use Linux utilities and shell scripting to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
• Log Management: Review system and application logs proactively to identify and resolve issues early
  

• Linux Expertise: Strong proficiency with the Linux command line. Comfortable using tools such as grep, awk, sed, top or htop, journalctl, and systemd
• Networking Fundamentals: Good understanding of subnets, ports, firewalls such as iptables or ufw, and load balancing concepts
• Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose errors and identify root causes by analyzing system resources such as disk space, memory, and limits
• Hardware and Virtualization Awareness: Basic understanding of CPU usage, I/O operations, and how software interacts with physical or virtual systems
