Job Description
Job Summary
- Provides legal, administrative, and logistical support for booking acquired assets (ROPA) and filing writs of possession against illegal occupants. Also assists in resolving legal concerns regarding documentation for non-performing loan collaterals and acquired Bank assets.
- Receives requests from AMSD and reviews ownership documentation for acquired properties with existing or anticipated legal cases concerning ownership or physical takeover.
- Coordinates NPL and ROPA cases with internal/external counsel to resolve legal concerns over documentation, physical possession, title annotations (cancellation), and reconstitution of lost titles.
- Handles the implementation of Writ of Possession or voluntary surrender on foreclosed properties in coordination with the handling lawyer and court-appointed Sheriff.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and with RA 1080 eligibility.
- Must have at least 3 years of legal experience, practice or exposure on collection, foreclosure (chattels/real estate) non-performing assets, legal research and document review processes.
- Legal experience or relevant practice or exposure on credit and collection, foreclosure, and acquired assets as well as on the mortgage and/or collateral documentation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as legal research skills.
