About The Role

As a Legal and Business Affairs Counsel, you will play a key role in providing legal support and strategic advice to our

organization. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of legal matters, including contract drafting and

negotiation, intellectual property rights, licensing agreements, compliance, and risk management. Your expertise

and guidance will be essential in ensuring the organization's legal and business affairs align with applicable laws and

regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including licensing agreements, distribution agreements,
  
  

vendor contracts, and artist agreements

• Ensure that contractual terms and conditions protect the organization's interests and comply with legal
  
  

Requirements

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address legal risks and negotiate favorable terms
• Provide counsel on intellectual property matters, including copyright, trademark, and licensing issues
• Conduct due diligence on intellectual property rights associated with acquisitions, collaborations, and
  
  

partnerships

• Advise on the protection and enforcement of the organization's intellectual property assets
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices to ensure compliance
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks
• Provide guidance on data protection, privacy, and security matters
• Provide timely and accurate legal advice to internal stakeholders on various business initiatives and

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal considerations are incorporated into business
  
  

strategies

• Assess potential legal and business risks, propose mitigation strategies, and offer creative solutions to
  
  

complex issues

• Assist in managing disputes and potential legal claims
• Collaborate with external legal counsel in litigation matters, including strategy development and document
  
  

review

• Provide support in preparing legal documents and gathering evidence for legal proceedings
  
  

Experience And Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction
• 7+ years of experience as a practicing attorney in a law firm or in-house legal department
• Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property law, and commercial transactions
• Experience in the entertainment industry or related fields is preferred
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in work
