Lead Test Automation Engineer (Java – Selenium)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead Test Automation Engineer to lead the automation testing efforts for the client requirement [OPL]. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, guiding the QA automation team, and ensuring high-quality product releases through efficient automated testing.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the automation testing strategy for web applications.

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and TestNG/JUnit.

Review automation scripts and ensure best coding practices.

Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and implement effective automation coverage.

Identify test scenarios suitable for automation and improve test coverage.

Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Analyze automation results and maintain test reports and dashboards.

Mentor and guide automation engineers and QA team members.

Ensure automation stability and maintainability across releases.

Required Skills

Strong experience in Java and Selenium WebDriver.

Experience with TestNG or JUnit frameworks.

Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) and automation framework design.

Experience with API automation (RestAssured or similar tools).

Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

Strong knowledge of Git version control.

Experience with test reporting tools like Allure or Extent Reports.

Ability to analyze failures and debug automation scripts.
