Job Summary
The Lead of Security Automation and Innovation is a high-impact role dedicated to strengthening organizational cyber resilience through research and custom development. You will be responsible for identifying emerging threats, evaluating cutting-edge technologies, and translating research into practical, automated security solutions. This is a "hands-on" leadership role for a visionary who can bridge the gap between complex security research and enterprise-scale software development.
Job Accountabilities
1. Cybersecurity Research & Strategy
- Threat Research: Conduct deep-dive research into emerging threats, advanced attack techniques, and the evolving global threat landscape.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify gaps in current security capabilities where innovation, automation, or AI can provide a competitive advantage.
- Strategic Translation: Convert research insights into actionable security frameworks, operational improvements, and technical recommendations.
2. Security Solution Development
- Custom Engineering: Design and develop bespoke cybersecurity tools, platforms, and automation frameworks to enhance SOC and Risk Management operations.
- Interoperability: Develop scripts, APIs, and micro-services to ensure seamless integration and data flow between disparate security systems (SIEM, SOAR, EDR).
- AI & Analytics: Explore and implement AI/ML-driven security use cases to strengthen predictive and reactive defense capabilities.
- Architectural Contribution: Lead discussions on solution architecture and future-state security capability planning.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Stakeholder Bridge: Collaborate with Cyber Defense Centers (CDC), Risk, Architecture, and IT teams to deliver unified security outcomes.
- Technical Communication: Translate highly complex technical concepts into business-relevant recommendations for executive stakeholders.
Technical Competencies
- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of Network Security, Endpoint Protection (EDR/XDR), Identity (IAM), and Cloud Security.
- Full-Stack Development: * Languages: High proficiency in Python, Java, or C#.
- Backend: Experience with Spring Boot, Django, .NET Core, or Node.js.
- Frontend: Familiarity with modern web stacks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Automation & Integration: Expert knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and system integration patterns.
- DevSecOps: Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- AI-Assisted Dev: Proven ability to use tools like Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to accelerate secure software prototyping and research.
Key Attributes (Experience & Qualifications)
- Education: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech / MCA / MS from a reputed/recognized institute.
- Experience: * Total: 10 – 12 years in the Information Security/IT domain.
- Specialized: 2 – 5 years of direct experience in Software Architecture, Design, or Development.
- Mindset: Strong "Ownership" mindset with a track record of leading innovation initiatives from concept to production.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly preferred.
