Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Lead – Mobile Engineering to join our team on-site in Kochi. In this role, you will spearhead the development of our mobile applications, including feature enhancements, bug resolutions, and system optimization for iOS and Android platforms. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing code quality, ensuring app performance, and mentoring junior developers. You will take ownership of the mobile application infrastructure to ensure seamless user experiences for our global userbase.


Qualifications

  • Lead and take complete ownership of Eloit’s Mobile Engineering team, including planning, execution, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • A passion for faith-based digital solutions and alignment with BibleOn’s mission is highly valued.
  • Manage mobile development across multiple Eloit products and app portfolios, including Edisapp, Kristapp, BibleOn, Credisapp, and future mobile applications.
  • Work directly with the Senior Vice President – Engineering to define the mobile technology roadmap, architecture improvements, technical debt reduction, framework upgrades, and long-term scalability.
  • Design scalable, reusable, white-labelled, multi-tenant, and modular mobile app architecture for Android and iOS platforms.
  • Experience in designing and optimizing mobile application architecture, API integration, and backend systems.
  • Build reusable UI components, shared logic, utility packages, and standard mobile development practices across products.
  • Define and enforce standards for API integration, state management, offline storage, caching, performance, security, and app reliability.
  • Own mobile app stability, crash monitoring, performance tracking, production quality, and continuous improvement across Android and iOS.
  • Establish and monitor mobile engineering KPIs, including release quality, sprint predictability, crash-free sessions, app performance, code review discipline, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage Android and iOS release cycles, including Play Store, App Store, certificates, provisioning profiles, signing keys, builds, submissions, release notes, and store compliance.
  • Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines using Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Codemagic, or similar tools.
  • Ensure mobile applications follow security, privacy, and compliance standards, especially for products handling student, parent, school, parish, and faith-community data.
  • Take ownership of production issues, urgent fixes, store review rejections, release escalations, and post-release support coordination with QA, Customer Experience, and Implementation teams.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, improve engineering discipline, and build a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and quality.
  • Coordinate closely with Product, QA, UI/UX, Customer Experience, Implementation, and Engineering leadership to deliver stable, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of mobile application development experience, preferably in SaaS, product engineering, EdTech, ERP, LMS, or multi-app environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Flutter and Dart.
  • Proven experience leading a mobile development team or owning major mobile app delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of Android, iOS, mobile app architecture, APIs, app performance optimisation, security, and production stability.
  • Experience with state management such as Bloc, Provider, Riverpod, GetX, or similar.
  • Ability to analyse complex requirements, design workflows, break down technical tasks, and guide the team towards timely delivery.
  • Strong understanding of reusable architecture, modular code, white-labelling, multi-tenant apps, and shared codebase management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, ownership, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Ability to work directly with senior engineering leadership and take accountability for mobile engineering outcomes.
