Position Overview

Lead Piping Designer Conducts Piping design and drafting under Principal/Lead Engineer or Principal Designer supervision mainly for Topside facilities in FPSO/FLNG or Offshore facilities.

The ideal candidate for the position will have a strong background in Offshore Oil & Gas Industry, be an expert in Topsides Piping Design, and Hands-on experience in Engineering Management Platform (AVEVA E3D/PDMS etc.)/AutoCAD.

The strategic focus will also include providing support to Hanwha Ocean engineering teams based in USA/Netherland/Singapore/India and elsewhere as necessary including Conceptual, pre-FEED and FEED for projects in the offshore area in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Support to Head of Discipline, Principal /Lead Engineer or Principal Designer
• Conduct Piping Design and Drafting and 3D Modelling
• Develop Piping Design Database in Engineering Management Platform.
• Preparation and review of piping study drawing, Nozzle orientation drawing, Equipment Layout, Piping GA drawing, Isometric, line list, Valve list, special support sketch, special item list.
• Participation on 30%, 60%, 90% model review and comment closure
• Review Vendor Documents, Engineering deliverables and Piping Deliverables
• Prepare & Review as-built Piping deliverables
• Provide inputs to lead engineer to manage interface between multiple discipline
• Check final documentation, including 3D models, drawings, and reports, prior to submission for approval to project piping lead[UVU2]
  
  

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent
• Minimum 15 years’ working experience with 5 years’ experience in Oil and Gas industries (FPSO contractor or Offshore/Onshore EPC contractor)
• Minimum 1 FPSO / FLNG/ Offshore FEED/EPCI Project experience as Piping Designer
• Well Versed with Piping Design Tool such as AutoCAD, AVEVA / E3D/ PDMS.
• Ability to work with and to communicate effectively with co-workers and manage multiple priorities.
• Check Cats and specs according piping and valve material specification
• Good understanding in English, with good oral and written communication skills
