Lead Business Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced P&C Lead Business Analyst with strong knowledge of insurance domain processes, requirement gathering, and solution design. The candidate should have hands-on experience working with underwriting, policy administration, claims, and billing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, BRDs, FRDs, and process flows.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure alignment of requirements and solution feasibility.
• Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and propose effective business solutions.
• Support UAT by preparing test scenarios, validating functionality, and coordinating with users.
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across policy, billing, and claims.
• Ensure compliance with P&C standards, regulatory needs, and best practices.
• Provide domain expertise during design discussions and client interactions.
• Assist in system configuration, workflow optimization, and process improvements.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance (P&C) processes.
• Hands-on experience with at least one P&C platform (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco).
• Proficiency in writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, wireframes, and workflow diagrams.
• Understanding of policy lifecycle, endorsements, renewals, claims, billing, and underwriting.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Good to Have

• Certifications: AINS, CPCU, Guidewire BA, or other insurance-related certifications.
• Experience with data analysis, SQL queries, or reporting tools.
• Exposure to cloud-based insurance platforms.
