Lead AI Engineer

We’re partnering with a global consultancy to build a large-scale enterprise platform used by US Tax teams to process complex tax calculations, collaborate internally, and deliver client-facing outputs.

You’ll be working on a multi-module platform (data ingestion, calculation engines, user management, reporting) within a micro front-end and cloud-native ecosystem.

A big focus of the role is AI integration at scale — embedding LLMs into enterprise workflows and designing robust, production-ready systems.

Tech Environment

• Python (FastAPI, async)
• Azure (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Blob, AKS)
• Event-driven architecture (Service Bus, Event Grid)
• SQL Server + ORM (SQLAlchemy)
• Angular front-end, REST APIs, SignalR
• CI/CD, DevOps best practices

AI / LLM Focus

• LLM integration (Azure OpenAI preferred)
• RAG pipelines (embeddings, vector search, re-ranking)
• Prompt engineering & structured outputs
• AI observability & evaluation frameworks
• AI-assisted development (Copilot, Cursor)

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years experience in Python engineering in production environments
• Deep Azure cloud expertise
• Experience building scalable, secure APIs (enterprise-grade)
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and RAG architectures
• Strong understanding of event-driven systems and microservices
