About Us:

ANLA Associates, Inc., a well-established landscape architecture firm located near the charming Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, is seeking a talented Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer to join our team. We specialize in landscape architectural site design, with a diverse portfolio that includes a strong emphasis on educational projects. Our work spans from needs assessments and master planning to construction administration.

Position Summary:

This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of landscape architecture projects from concept through construction. The successful candidate will support project development through design, technical documentation, and field observation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in landscape site design and graphic renderings
• Prepare landscape construction documents and specifications
• Assist with estimating construction costs
• Construction site walks and observation
• Project coordination with clients, consultants, and team members
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and WELO requirements
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience in the public work sector is desired
• 5–7 years of professional experience in landscape design and construction documentation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2021 for drafting site plans, construction drawings, and details
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Strong knowledge of California plant material, particularly suitable for Bay Area climates
• Proficiency in irrigation design and understanding of WELO requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to conduct construction job site walks
• Reliable means of transportation to attend site visits, and licensed to drive in California
  
  
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience

Work Schedule

• Standard office hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
