Role Description This full-time Laboratory Technician role is based in Chennai and follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site laboratory responsibilities with some work-from-home flexibility. The Laboratory Technician will support cosmetic product development and testing by operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing samples, and performing routine laboratory procedures. Daily tasks include conducting basic quality control tests, recording and analyzing data, and ensuring that laboratory processes follow safety and regulatory standards. The role also involves collaborating with pharmacists, product specialists, and other team members to support ongoing projects, maintain accurate documentation, and help improve laboratory workflows.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including practical experience with core Laboratory Skills and familiarity with the responsibilities of Laboratory Technicians.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to operate and maintain Laboratory Equipment safely and efficiently in a regulated environment.
  • Candidates should possess solid Quality Control understanding, including performing checks, documenting results, and supporting compliance with standards.
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret test results, troubleshoot basic issues, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, or a related scientific field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cosmetics or personal care product testing, and familiarity with safety and hygiene protocols in a laboratory setting, is beneficial.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively in both on-site and remote settings.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, documentation, and use of laboratory information systems.
