Junior Node.js Developer

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Node.js Developer with 1+ year of experience to join our growing development team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining and enhancing backend services using modern technologies and best practices. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with microservices architecture, scalable APIs, database systems and cloud-native backend solutions in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain backend applications using Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and gRPC services for scalable and high-performance applications.
• Work with Microservices Architecture to build modular and maintainable backend systems.
• Develop and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries and stored procedures.
• Integrate and manage API Gateway solutions for secure and efficient service communication.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers and other team members to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
• Use Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Test and validate APIs using Postman and other development tools.
• Contribute to system design discussions and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or any related Bachelor's Degree.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in Node.js backend development.
• Experience working with NestJS and TypeScript.
• Practical experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
• Exposure to PostgreSQL database development and optimization.
• Basic understanding of gRPC, Microservices Architecture and API Gateway concepts.

Additional Requirements

• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript programming concepts.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Good knowledge of Git/GitHub workflows and version control practices.
• Experience using Postman for API testing and debugging.
