Junior Backend Developer

Magen Daniel Systems LLP is a technology company focused on connected vehicular safety, intelligent mobility systems, and real-time communication platforms. The company develops advanced IoT and V2X technologies integrating embedded systems, cloud infrastructure, LTE/GNSS connectivity, mobile applications, and intelligent event-processing systems.

We are building scalable MVP and prototype platforms while expanding our engineering and field operations teams in Bengaluru.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Backend Developer located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Flexible and part-time arrangements may also be considered during the prototype phase.

In this role, you will help develop backend APIs and real-time services supporting connected IoT and vehicular safety systems. You will work closely with embedded, mobile, and cloud teams to build scalable and reliable backend infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
• Support device communication and event ingestion services
• Work with PostgreSQL databases and backend data models
• Assist with authentication, role management, and API security
• Collaborate with mobile and embedded teams
• Debug backend issues and improve system reliability
• Write clean, maintainable, and documented code
• Use Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of backend development experience (or strong personal projects)
• Knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Basic understanding of REST APIs
• Familiarity with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub
• Strong willingness to learn and work in a startup environment
• Good problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Express.js or NestJS
• Basic knowledge of Docker or cloud deployment
• Interest in IoT, connected devices, or real-time systems
• Familiarity with Firebase, WebSockets, or MQTT is a plus
