Junior Data Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Engineer to assist in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with data processing, ETL workflows, and collaboration with data teams to support business analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines for ETL/ELT processes using tools like Python, SQL, and cloud platforms.
• Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, files in JSON/CSV/XML formats) to ensure quality and usability.
• Support database management, optimization, and basic troubleshooting to enable efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Perform data quality checks, validation, and monitoring to identify and resolve issues in pipelines.
• Document processes, pipelines, and code for team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and stakeholders to understand data needs and contribute to projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python (or Java), and basic data tools; familiarity with ETL processes and databases.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience or internships; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and data formats is a plus.
