Job Description

About DROPZ

DROPZ is India's first true limited-edition platform, a culture-forward destination where every product drop is rare, intentional, and never restocked. We aren't just building a brand; we're building a platform that curates stories through exclusive in-house drops, creator collaborations, and collectible releases across fashion, lifestyle, and beyond. Every drop is a moment, but the platform is the big picture and our brand must ignite cultural hype.

As a Junior Commercial Photographer, you will help define how DROPZ looks to the world, from the first scroll-stopping hero image to the final banner crop that ships across the platform. This is a fast-moving, 0 to 100 environment where you will own studio output quality, build repeatable setups, and deliver premium visuals consistently, while collaborating daily with Creative and Brand to make every drop feel collectible.

What You’ll Do

  • Shoot commercial and campaign imagery for ads, banners, hero visuals, and marketplace features, ensuring every frame feels premium and on-brand across fashion, lifestyle, and collectible categories.
  • Partner closely with Creative and Brand to translate briefs into lighting, composition, and styling choices, aligning each shoot to the intended mood, storytelling, and conversion goal.
  • Plan and execute platform-ready deliverables, producing multiple crops, aspect ratios, and background options so assets ship cleanly across app, web, paid ads, and social placements.
  • Build and maintain repeatable studio workflows, creating lighting templates and setup guides that enable fast output without sacrificing quality across frequent product drops.
  • Own end to end file hygiene, including consistent naming, folder structures, versioning, and handoff notes so design and performance teams can move quickly without confusion.
  • Calibrate and manage studio consistency, keeping color, exposure, and sharpness reliable across sets through controlled lighting, test shots, and documented reference standards.
  • Coordinate shoot readiness by aligning products, props, and schedules with operations and internal stakeholders, reducing downtime and protecting timelines during peak drop cycles.
  • Deliver clean post production outputs using standard retouching practices, ensuring images look premium while staying true to product details and brand integrity.
  • Review outputs with Creative and Brand through fast feedback cycles, iterating on selects and variants to improve clarity, premium feel, and performance in real placements.
  • Maintain equipment readiness and studio organization, tracking consumables, backups, and basic maintenance to keep production smooth and dependable every week.

Who You Are

  • You have 6 to 12 months of hands-on commercial photography experience, with a portfolio that shows clean lighting, premium composition, and consistent output across product or campaign style shoots.
  • You understand how photography changes by use case, and you can shoot intentionally for hero visuals, banners, and ad placements with attention to framing, whitespace, and crop safety.
  • You can run a small studio setup confidently, setting lights, shaping contrast, and repeating looks through templates so quality stays consistent even when timelines are tight.
  • You collaborate with low friction and clarity, taking direction from Creative and Brand, asking the right questions early, and translating feedback into improved outputs without repeated back and forth.
  • You move fast without getting careless, protecting sharpness, color accuracy, and product truth while still delivering multiple variations and options for performance testing.
  • You are organized in how you work, keeping files, folders, and versions clean so teams can find and use assets immediately across design, product, and marketing workflows.
  • You have a strong eye for premium visual language, recognizing what makes images feel collectible, intentional, and culturally relevant rather than generic marketplace content.
  • You are startup-ready and ownership driven, comfortable with a 0 to 100 pace where you take accountability for results, solve problems on the floor, and build processes that scale with the team.
  • You are open to learning and feedback, improving your lighting, editing, and workflow craft through critique, references, and experimentation grounded in brand standards.
  • You communicate timelines and blockers early, helping the team ship confidently by keeping priorities clear and aligning on what is needed for each drop.

What We Offer

  • High ownership, high trust work where you shape DROPZ’s premium visual identity and build studio standards that power every campaign and product moment.
  • A 0 to 100 startup environment where your speed, craft, and process thinking directly impact how fast we ship and how strong each drop performs.
  • Growth through responsibility, you will level up by owning repeatable production systems and learning how commercial photography ties to conversion and storytelling.
  • Long-term building energy, we want teammates who invest deeply, build culture, and help create a platform that lasts, with mutual upside in what we create together.
