Role Overview 

The Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, compliance, and control across the organization. 

This is a high-ownership, detail-intensive role that requires: 

• Strong command over accounting processes 
• Accuracy in financial reporting 
• Compliance with statutory requirements 
• Ability to support business decisions through financial insights 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting 

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and financial records 
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements 
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company policies 

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable 

• Manage vendor payments and customer collections 
• Ensure timely invoicing and follow-ups 
• Monitor receivables and control outstanding dues 

3. Bank & Account Reconciliation 

• Perform regular bank reconciliations 
• Ensure accuracy between books and bank records 
• Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly 

4. Payroll & Expense Management 

• Process employee payroll and reimbursements 
• Verify and track expense claims and approvals 
• Ensure compliance with internal policies 

5. Taxation & Compliance 

• Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns 
• Ensure full compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements 
• Stay updated with changes in financial regulations 

6. Audit & Documentation 

• Support internal and external audits 
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit readiness 
• Ensure transparency and audit compliance 

7. Budgeting & Financial Planning 

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting 
• Track expenses vs budgets 
• Support cost optimization and financial discipline 

8. Controls & Process Improvement 

• Ensure strong financial controls and compliance systems 
• Identify and improve process inefficiencies 
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across all financial activities

Ideal Candidate 

• Strong understanding of accounting, taxation, and compliance 
• High attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently 
• Proficient in Tally, Excel, and reporting tools 
• Reliable, organized, and process-driven 
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization 

Not a Fit If You 

• Lack attention to detail or accuracy 
• Are not comfortable with compliance and reporting work 
• Prefer unstructured or low-accountability roles 
• Struggle with deadlines or financial discipline 
• Are not hands-on with accounting systems 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce 
• 2–6 years of experience in accounting or finance roles 
• CA / CMA / ACCA (completed or pursuing) preferred
