Jr. Full Stack Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Full Stack Developer to join our Mumbai-based IT team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising modern websites, web applications using frontend, backend, and CMS [including headless CMS] technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong technical fundamentals, practical experience, and the ability to work across the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop user-friendly and scalable frontend applications using React.js
• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and related frameworks
• Develop and customize WordPress themes, plugins, and integrations
• Design, manage, and optimize databases for performance and scalability
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services
• Ensure application performance, security, and responsiveness
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA teams, and project managers
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities

Job Requirement

Required Technical Skills

Frontend Development

• Strong experience with React.js, including Hooks and state management
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with responsive and cross-browser compatible UI development

Backend Development

• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js or similar frameworks
• Development of RESTful APIs
• Implementation of authentication and authorization mechanisms

Content Management System

• Strong knowledge of WordPress core architecture
• Custom theme and plugin development
• Experience with WordPress hooks, filters, and REST API

Database Technologies

• Experience with MySQL or MariaDB
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• Ability to design schemas and optimize database queries

Version Control and Tools

• Proficiency in Git and version control workflows
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
• Basic understanding of Linux servers and deployment environments

Additional Skills (Good to Have)

• Knowledge of Java for web application backend development
• Experience with Spring Boot and RESTful services in Java
• Exposure to microservices architecture
• Experience with Docker and basic CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Understanding of caching mechanisms and CDN usage
• Awareness of web security best practices including XSS, CSRF, and SQL injection
• Basic experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
