Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Web Team Lead with strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Cassandra, and MongoDB. The Web Team Lead will be responsible for guiding two Assistant Team Leads and their respective teams, ensuring timely delivery of sprint commitments, handling ongoing issues, and supporting the team in overcoming technical challenges. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to ensure high-quality delivery and smooth collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and manage 2 Assistant Team Leads and their respective development teams.
• Ensure effective allocation of tasks within sprints and monitor progress.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members.

Sprint Planning & Execution

• Collaborate with the BA cum Project Manager and Product Owner (PO) to define sprint goals and priorities.
• Ensure sprint deliverables are completed within the defined timeline.
• Proactively track and remove blockers for the team.

Issue & Error Management

• Manage ongoing errors/defects alongside sprint deliverables.
• Ensure timely resolution of issues raised during development or post-release.

Technical Oversight

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and system architecture.
• Review code and design solutions to maintain quality and performance.
• Provide hands-on support in complex technical challenges.

Reporting & Communication

• Report weekly progress and timelines to the BA cum Project Manager and Product Owner (PO).
• Provide updates on delays or challenges with clear reasons and corrective actions.
• Facilitate effective communication between development teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of scalable and distributed application design.
• Experience with microservices architecture is a plus.

Leadership & Management

• Proven experience leading development teams in an agile environment.
• Ability to manage multiple sub-teams and balance priorities across sprints and ongoing issues.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to timelines and deliverables.
• Ability to mentor and motivate team members.

Experience:

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 2–3 years of leadership/Team Lead experience in a web development environment.
