Java Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Java 11/17 and Spring MVC
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and contribute to a microservices-based architecture
• Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on AWS cloud services, ensuring security and scalability
• Develop responsive and interactive front-end components using JavaScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices using JUnit and Mockito
• Manage builds and dependencies using Gradle or Maven
• Ensure high code quality through comprehensive unit and functional testing
• Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases for efficient data management
• Containerize applications using Docker for consistent and streamlined deployments
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms using OAuth and Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Adhere to SDLC best practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivery timelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Java 11/17, including OOP concepts, collections, exception handling, and multithreading
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS
• Proficiency in JavaScript and front-end technologies including React, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery
• Solid understanding of Spring MVC and microservices architecture
• Experience with JUnit and Mockito for testing
• Familiarity with Gradle and/or Maven
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Experience using Docker for application containerization
• Understanding of OAuth and SSO authentication frameworks
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
