Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing enterprise applications using Java technologies and a solid understanding of insurance business processes such as Policy Administration, Claims, Billing, Underwriting, or Rating.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications for P&C Insurance.
Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform unit testing, code reviews, and debugging to ensure application quality.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
Support production deployments and resolve production issues.

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA.
Experience with REST APIs, Microservices architecture, and SQL databases.
Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.
Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is preferred.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Domain Experience

Mandatory experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance.
Strong understanding of Policy Administration, Claims, Billing, Underwriting, Rating, or Insurance workflows.
Experience with insurance core systems such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar platforms is an added advantage.
