Java Developer - Fresher (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Fresher Java Developer with knowledge of Spring Boot to join their growing engineering team. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about backend development and eager to build scalable, high-performance applications using modern Java technologies. The selected candidate will work closely with experienced developers to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs and enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
• Assist in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards
• Work with version control systems to manage code changes
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and backend development practices

Required Skills

• 
  
• Strong understanding of Core Java concepts (OOP, Collections, Exception Handling)
• Basic knowledge of Spring Boot and REST APIs
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Understanding of Git or other version control systems
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Basic understanding of Spring Framework components (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA)
• Exposure to Docker or containerization
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
