Summary

As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. This role is for a Business Analyst for the Markets Data Store. The candidate needs to be a self-starter, willing to initiate contact with the program team, internal and external stakeholders and capable of contributing in working groups and workshops engaging these stakeholders. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to understand requirements, coding and enhancing software components, and utilizing modern frameworks and agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions. You will also participate in problem-solving discussions and contribute to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Expected to be an SME.
  • Collaborate and manage the team to perform.
  • Responsible for team decisions.
  • Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
  • Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
  • Mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth.
  • To focus on consumer engagement and facilitate migration of consumers from legacy data sources to new platform/central trade store.
  • To Know trade & pre-trade life cycle and key business functions involved like confirmation/affirmation,

settlement, risk calculation and financial reporting.

  • Perform detailed level, mapping out current state and future state processes and

proposing solutions where appropriate.

  • To Gather and documentation of business and technical requirements.
  • Manage the appropriate documentation of business requirements.
  • Translation of business requirements into technical solution and Providing documentation and training to end-users.
  • Ensure adherence to best practice and follow Enterprise domain principles.
  • Liaise between the development team and business users in order to define clear and precise requirements
  • Working with business SMEs for requirements gathering.
  • Should Understand and management of risks and issues.
  • Should be able to solve complex problems across a broad range of disciplines (functional as well as project-orientated) and Implementation activities including Operational readiness, schedule of events, success criteria.
  • Manage dependencies, conflicts and prioritization.

Professional & Technical Skills

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Business Requirements Analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business needs and translate them into technical requirements with Strong SQL/XLS/MS Word/PowerPoint/JIRA skills.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and modern software development practices and in data management projects, working alongside front, middle and back-office investment banking functions and Experience of typical investment banking technology and systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with software design patterns and best practices and Good understanding of Global Financial Markets & IT Systems development .
  • Ability to Identify the fundamental issues/gaps/requirements in legacy data flows where same data

is copied & maintained by multiple systems and Understand, develop and maintain Logical data model for the trading functions in the bank.

  • Extensive communication on a business and technical level will be required with business

and technology stakeholders and end-users and hence excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), to present reports/updates to senior management.

  • Should Work closely with team of BAs, in order to cover extensive scope of product and data types, and deal with a large number of stakeholders.
  • Product knowledge across a wide selection of products (like credits, rates, FX derivatives etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to Understand requirements from business, analysing and raising asks for tech team to develop against the same.
  • Current State, Impact and Gap analysis with appropriate documentation.
  • Producing Business Requirements, Functional specification and other appropriate documentation and

Defining test plans, scripts and ability to execute testing.

  • Exposure to working in Agile teams.
  • Expertise in Microsoft office tools (excel and PowerPoint).
  • Prior Technical Experience with Capital Markets/Money Markets domain knowledge.

Additional Information

  • The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Business Requirements Analysis.
  • MBA in Finance (Preferred)
  • This position is based at our Gurugram office.
  • A 15 years full time education is required.
