Role Description The Japanese Language Trainer will deliver engaging, learner-centered Japanese language classes to individuals and groups across various proficiency levels via remote instruction. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and adapting lesson plans, teaching vocabulary, grammar, and conversation skills, and preparing learners for exams such as JLPT where relevant. The trainer will assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and use a variety of teaching tools and methodologies to support different age groups and learning styles. Additional tasks include maintaining class records, collaborating with coordinators on schedules and course content, and ensuring a positive, inclusive learning environment. This is a contract, remote role.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Language Teaching and Teaching, with the ability to adapt methods to diverse learner needs and levels.
- Experience in Lesson Planning and Education, including structuring courses and designing interactive learning activities.
- Background or interest in Literature and Japanese culture to enrich lessons with cultural context.
- Proficiency in Japanese (preferably JLPT N2 or above) and strong command of English for instruction and communication.
- Prior experience teaching Japanese online or in hybrid formats, using digital tools and virtual classroom platforms.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and learner engagement skills across different age groups.
- Relevant academic qualifications in Japanese language, education, linguistics, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and collaborate professionally with the LetsTalk academic team.
