IT QA Tester

Urgent Need

Duration - 6-12+ Month Contract

Location - Lombard, IL / Remote (primarily remote but required to come onsite when needed)

Our client is looking to add an IT QA Tester to their team that will be responsible for developing clear and easy-to-follow test cases to measure software quality and compliance with business requirements and application design

Position Description:

• Execute test cases (manual and automated) to validate new features, fixes, and product enhancements
• Document, track, and thoroughly communicate defects/bugs discovered during testing, using our established issue tracking system
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases from functional requirements
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand product specifications and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required
• 7+ years of solid experience working as a QA Tester - both Automated and Manual Testing is required
• Testing Tools : Jira, QTest, Postman, etc
• Date Lake experience is highly preferred
• Experience working in Insurance or Healthcare is a big plus
• Must have experience working on large complex projects
• Must have strong data mapping, integration/migration testing experience
• In-depth understanding of Quality Engineering in Agile Scrum environments, including experience drafting user stories, using acceptance criteria to form test cases, story point sizing, and QA task creation best practices

The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($53-60/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
