Job Summary
The IT Executive will be responsible for managing the institution’s IT infrastructure, systems, and technical support services. The role ensures smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and digital platforms across academic and administrative functions, enabling efficient and secure IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, smart classrooms, and networking equipment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for faculty, staff, and students.
- Maintain campus network connectivity, LAN/Wi-Fi systems, and internet services.
- Install, configure, and update software, operating systems, and licensed applications.
- Manage data backups, antivirus systems, cybersecurity protocols, and system security.
- Support ERP, LMS, examination systems, and academic software platforms.
- Coordinate with external IT vendors, service providers, and AMC partners.
- Maintain IT inventory, asset registers, and documentation.
- Ensure data privacy, access controls, and compliance with institutional IT policies.
- Assist in digital initiatives such as e-learning platforms, online admissions, digital libraries, and automation projects.
- Provide support during online classes, webinars, virtual meetings, and institutional events.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Engineering or related field.
- Certifications in Networking, Hardware, System Administration, or Cybersecurity will be an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT support, infrastructure management, or campus IT operations.
- Experience in educational institutions will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, networking, system administration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, LMS platforms, and cloud-based tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, and backup systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple IT tasks efficiently.
