Job Title: Intern – International Education Billing Department

Position Overview


The International Education Billing Intern supports the billing team in managing financial processes related to international students, study-abroad programs, partnerships, and global tuition agreements. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented student interested in finance, global education operations, or administrative support within an international environment. The intern will gain hands-on experience in billing procedures, data management, compliance, and cross-department collaboration.


Key Responsibilities


Data Entry & Record Management

  • Update and maintain accurate student financial records in internal systems.
  • Assist with data cleanup, file organization, and document preparation for audits.
  • Verify and track financial documents such as contracts, authorizations, or sponsorship agreements.

Billing & Financial Support

  • Assist with preparing invoices for international students, partner universities, and education programs.
  • Help reconcile payments, tuition charges, and fees in the billing system.
  • Review billing data for accuracy, including enrollment status, program details, and tuition rates.
  • Support the processing of refunds, adjustments, or account corrections under supervision.

Communication & Customer Service

  • Respond to basic inquiries from students, parents, and partner institutions regarding billing timelines or account information.
  • Draft professional emails and communications related to account status or required documentation.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Admissions, Financial Aid, and International Programs to resolve student account issues.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate routine financial reports as requested.
  • Assist team members with analyzing billing discrepancies or trends.
  • Support special projects related to process improvements or technology updates.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, International Education, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
  • Basic understanding of Excel or financial software (training provided).
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
