Instrument Designer

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Designer with 7+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AVEVA E3D and Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D), along with hands-on experience in instrumentation design, 3D modeling, and preparation of engineering deliverables for EPC projects.

• Develop and maintain 3D instrumentation models using AVEVA E3D and Smart 3D (S3D).
• Prepare instrument layouts, hook-up drawings, installation details, and cable routing layouts.
• Design and model instrument supports, junction boxes, cable trays, and field instrumentation.
• Generate instrumentation drawings, MTOs (Material Take-Offs), and BOQs.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil disciplines to ensure design integration.
• Review P&IDs, instrument index, cable schedules, loop drawings, and vendor documentation.
• Perform clash detection and resolve model interferences.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, project standards, and international codes.
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Deliver high-quality engineering documents within project schedules.

• 7+ years of instrumentation design experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with AVEVA E3D and Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D).
• Good knowledge of instrumentation layouts, cable routing, junction boxes, and hook-up drawings.
• Experience in preparing construction and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of P&IDs, instrument installation standards, and engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with EPC project execution.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
