Job Overview (Purpose & Scope)

The Injection Molding Foreman is responsible for supervising a designated section of the production floor, ensuring injection molding processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with safety, quality, and production standards. The role focuses on achieving production targets, minimizing downtime, and maintaining consistent product quality.


  • Job Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of injection molding operators and production workers.
  • Ensure production targets are achieved according to the daily and weekly schedules.
  • Take full responsibility for the assigned production area and shift performance.
  • Monitor machine performance, cycle times, and output levels.
  • Adjust workflow and manpower allocation to meet production demands.
  • Troubleshoot production and machine-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules, procedures, and company policies.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide on-the-job training to workers.
  • Maintain discipline, order, and efficiency on the production floor.
  • Monitor and report key production metrics and shift performance.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and planning departments to resolve issues.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S standards in the assigned area.


Quality & Process Control

  • Ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor process parameters and report deviations.
  • Coordinate with the quality team to address defects and non-conformities.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring production issues.


Safety Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety procedures and PPE compliance.
  • Report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents.
  • Ensure safe machine operation and proper handling of materials.


  • Role Qualifications

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical or vocational training in plastics or machinery is preferred.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a production environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in injection molding.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes.
  • Familiarity with injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Understanding of cycle time, productivity, and scrap control.
  • Basic knowledge of production reporting systems or software.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
