Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an In-Charge - Labour Room at Matria Hospital, located in Kozhikode. The primary responsibility involves overseeing and coordinating day-to-day operations in the labour room, ensuring high standards of patient care, and managing a team of healthcare professionals. The role includes supervising the nursing staff, ensuring compliance with protocols, managing the availability of necessary medical supplies, and maintaining seamless communication with obstetricians and other medical professionals. The role requires effective leadership for continuous improvement in clinical outcomes and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in labor room procedures and maternal-child healthcare
• Leadership and management skills to oversee staff and ensure efficient operations
• Strong organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate records and ensure protocol compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with medical teams and patient families
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond quickly to emergencies
• Registered Nurse or Midwife qualification with valid license
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in labor room or maternity care, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
