Job Title: IBM iSeries ? AS/400 & AIX Server Administrator. Sector: PUB RTH: Yes Location: Bangalore (Any) Mode: On-site / As per client requirement. ?? Experience Required Total Experience: 7?8 Years Relevant Experience: 6?7 Years in AS/400 & AIX Server Administration ? Mandatory Skills Strong expertise as an AS/400 & AIX Server Administrator Experience with IBM iSeries ? AIX OS 7.X and IBM iSeries OS (AS/400) Proficiency in server monitoring, troubleshooting, and system maintenance Hands-on knowledge of backup & recovery using FalconStor tool Patch management & OS updates as per security guidelines Strong understanding of user accounts, permissions, and system resource management ? Good-to-Have (Alternate Skills) Exposure to additional server administration tools & utilities Familiarity with automation and performance optimization practices Knowledge of disaster recovery planning ?? Key Responsibilities AS/400 Server Management ? Oversee daily operations, system monitoring, and troubleshooting. Backup & Recovery ? Manage critical data backups and recovery on AS/400 and AIX systems using FalconStor . AIX Server Management ? Administer and maintain AIX servers (configuration, patching, updates, security, stability). Patch Management ? Regularly apply security patches and updates with minimal downtime. Operating System Management ? Install, configure, and manage OS, user accounts, permissions, and resources. ??
