Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) to join our team in Hyderabad, India. This role is a critical leadership position, seated in Koantek Hyderabad office, responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions, reporting into General Manager - HR India. The Sr. HRBP will be the primary people partner for our leadership team and employees in India, ensuring strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and strict adherence to all local labour laws and compliance requirements. The Koantek Hyderabad Office Operations Administrator will report into this Sr HRBP role.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Advisory:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to local leadership and management teams on all people-related matters, including performance management, talent development, and organisational design.
- Translate business needs into practical HR solutions and initiatives that support the company's growth and cultural goals in India.
- Drive and support annual HR processes, including performance reviews, salary planning, and workforce planning.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Manage complex employee relations issues, providing clear guidance and ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and local labor laws.
- Ensure full compliance with all Indian statutory and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, the Factories Act, Shops and Establishments Act, and PF/ESI regulations.
- Oversee and manage disciplinary actions, terminations, and grievance procedures in line with best practices and legal standards.
Talent Management & Development:
- Collaborate with the global Talent Acquisition team to support local recruitment efforts, ensuring we attract and retain top talent in the Hyderabad market.
- Implement and manage onboarding programs for new hires and offboarding processes.
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee capabilities and career growth.
Operational Excellence & Compensation:
- Manage the execution of core HR operations, including maintaining accurate employee records, data analysis, and reporting on key HR metrics.
- Oversee local compensation and benefits administration to ensure market competitiveness and equity.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR programs.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 4+ years operating as an HR Business Partner in India.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree (e.g., MBA/PGDM in HR) is highly preferred.
- Deep and current knowledge of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirements specific to Hyderabad and surrounding regions.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end employee life cycle processes, including onboarding, performance management, and complex employee relations cases.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at various organizational levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in one of these local languages (Hindi/Telugu/Tamil/Kannada) is a nice to have asset.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a global or multinational organization (MNC).
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Zoho People).
- Certification in a relevant HR discipline (e.g., SHRM-CP, CHRP).
- Experience supporting a technology or engineering employee base.
Reporting Structure:
- This role reports directly to the General Manager - HR India.
- Koantek Hyderabad Office Operations Administrator will report into this Sr HRBP Lead role.
Requirements:
